What songs from the 1980's and early 1990's? List 'em if you like. What memories do these songs or the years give you? 1980's Mine is Dexy's Midnight Runners 'Come On Eileen'. Cool party song. I also like 'Two Tribes' by FGTH, 'Final Countdown by Europe', 'I Want by MTV' by Dire Straits, 'True Faith' by New Order, 'Ride on Time' by Black Box 1990's 'Dancing Naked in the Rain' by Blue Pearl, 'Enjoy the Silence' by Depeche Mode, and many others. Hard to list them all

Difficult one... most of the 80's songs I like because I grew up listening to them.... always on the radio.
Two Tribes, Queen's Highlander music, Tears For Fear's "Rule the world", Billy Ocean's "When the going gets tough", Annie Lennox "Sweet Dreams".... the list goes on....
90's.... Blur "Song 2" and "Parklife" , The Manics stuff, Seal's stuff, Foo Fighters, Prodigy, Radiohead, Train... list goes on again....
Thing is ... u get a band who releases some good songs, but also some real stinkers.... so its pick and choose.

i love all the synth music - New Order especially. pretty much 80s from 83-85 is my fave time - Frankie, Art Of Noise, Talk Talk,
then in 89 the Manics came along and from the time i discovered them, have been it for me (hence the handle of mine). nothing much else in the 90s apart from the Seattle scene was any good, especially that awful dance stuff passing itself off as music lol.
guess thats why i love Vice City so much, the soundtrack is awesome. now if only it had Thieves Like Us or Suicide Alley...

'I Want my MTV' by Dire Straits - I think you'll find that song is actually called MONEY FOR NOTHING (with Sting singing the refrain "I want my MTV")
1980s - New Order, Frankie, Dire Straits, U2 1990s - Blur, Oasis, Nirvana, Stone Roses, Ash 2000s - Coldplay, Air, Turin Brakes, Snow Patrol
