I never saw it in the shops. I saw it at one computer show, the guy on eBay got it from a different computer show, and I think it may have squeaked into one mail order listing. Would have to extensively check to make sure on that one

Hmmm... i'll see if anything turns up... it would take some work to find out though, so i'll put the game on hold for now. It's there anyway, so not like we have to hunt for it anymore... so no rush

I can see the standing on the games bearing in mind we're a predominantly UK based forum, I would love to be able to find some real rare games over here to share but unfortunately Indiana was never a mecca for gaming lol. the only company that ever was based here that produced anything games based is SAMS, and their mainly serious software, books etc.
Mayhem, you're the one to ask I think. was Dukes Of Hazzard released at all on the C64 in the UK? also, do you have a copy of Hareraiser: Finale? I've yet to see it around. well, I won't find it around here anyhow lol.

Isn't Street Hawk a lost game too? Just wondered as I've seen the ad in a magazine lately and think I've read about it beeing unfinished somewhere

I'm one of those lucky types with an original Alien 3! It's a bit of a cop-out, truth be told - it's the cassette version in the Amiga version's box with stickers over anything saying "Amiga", and replaced with C64 ones. The manual is a joint Amiga/C64 one, but only mentions loading instructions for the C64 cassette version, so one has to assume a disk version wasn't released (the C64 market must have been small at that point on its own, let alone the market for C64 disk games!). I remember buying it in Software Plus in Newport, Gwent - according to the price tag it set me back £9.99 too. Just think what else I could've done with that tenner as a nipper...

That's exactly how my copy is too Phil... so I'm presuming this is standard. Generally it is how it was in the early 90s to save packaging costs...

[Goes into ex-salesbod mode] At the time, quite a bit of the software around was badged up like that with ST, Amiga, PC and on some occasions C64 all using the same box with cover stickers. i believe my disk original of Streetfighter 2 was like that and it goes quite far back 'cos i have some older titles that do the same. Ironically, budget stuff normally didn't do this because the flashes on the box were too big to cover and colour coded. [Drops out of ex-salesbod and back to what vaguely passes as normal 'round these parts]
Personally, i'd like to see Enforcer and the others stay here well documented as to why they didn't see a wider distribution rather than remove them totally so how about adding something like a "rare-o-meter" to each entry on a scale of 1 to 5 (for example) so a game that made a limited commercial release as with Up, Up And Away gets a 1 and something that didn't even get past concept stages like Myth 2 gets a 5...?
As for Streethawk, i believe it was scrapped when someone at Ocean realised it was going to be very bad...?

A Rareometer sounds like a good idea.... possibly renamed slightly, but not sure to what? To each review page though, or the A-Z boxes? Streethawk is another one being added to the review pages... not the game sadly though. There is a hack of Night Racer, but thats it. The great story of this game is that the music has been saved, and Martin will release it to the world at long last at the BIT Live event.... HVSC will host it a bit later... As most of Ocean/Imagine games were merited on their Galway music, (Game Over comes to mind) then this can be seen as a BIG find.... although the game would be nice too

Phew!... that would save some time just doing the A-Z pages.. ;D I'm just thinking really about the rating system...I keep trying to word it, but it keeps coming back as Rare, but in more words Maybe something along the lines of "Likelyhood of finding" or something like that. Its probably gonna need some more thought... anyone else think of anything?

"Findability"?
Or you could have a WANTED poster, the higher the reward, the more wanted/rare the game is!

thanks for that Mayhem. I have Hit Pak by ECP in Australia. it's the same as the Elite compilation, but has an extra game: Hazzard. well, its Dukes Of Hazzard but they must have removed the Dukes Of bit. maybe their licence had run out by the time it was done. anyhow, its ok, nothing great though. seems to tbe written by the same authors of The Fall Guy.
I also have Hareraiser: Prelude but have never seen the second half.

Digging up an old subject...
UP Up And Away's programmers got in contact with me today... and although we found out that Rob had nothing to do with the game it self...
credits are now confirmed to ... Gwyll Jones and Tom Jones.
Sadly it seems I may have upset them from the miscredit, to which i've tried to settle. But there is a lot of information on the game for next update. So at last long due credit can be made where due.
